Pittsburgh area company is in need of a Cash Receipts Specialist. The selected candidate will be responsible for receiving, digitally depositing, applying and reconciling accurate daily check deposits for the company.

Duties to include:

· Open all company mail and distribute to the correct recipient, keeping all checks for application.

· Sort checks received for deposit and prepare for scanning, ensuring proper documentation and accurate deposit totals.

· Scan deposits to banks and verify confirmation of successful deposit transmission.

· Review and collect email notifications or confer with AP Specialist to receive totals payment information of ACH, wire, & and other digital payments, ensuring all payment activity is identified and processed timely.

· Apply all received customer payments under the correct account and notify the correct AR Specialist of any incorrect payments, skipped invoices.

· Reconcile the payment amount with the emailed end-of-day report. Communicate any discrepancy with Route Sales Rep to resolve immediately.

· Apply all payments collected on the route to the correct account in system.

· Create daily deposit log for payments received and reconcile with Payments Detail report to ensure completeness and accuracy of daily payment application.

· Record NSF activity including tracking returned payments, updating accounts appropriately and communicating required follow-up to the appropriate AR Specialist/Manager.

· Answer company phones and input accurate customer orders.

· Notify quality control and AR Manager of any quality issues. Recommend solutions to AR Manager for approval, either customer credit or free product to replace.

· Provide information on online paying and ordering in a push to get all customers using ERP and payments systems.

· Provide consistent, professional, courteous, and high-quality customer service with all customers when answering phone.

Requirements:

· Basic accounting and bookkeeping

· Hands-on experience with accounting software

· Proficient MSOffice skills

· Professional communication and customer service skills

· Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills

· Ability to accurately process numerical data

· Team player always willing to work to find a solution

· Associate degree in accounting or related field a plus
