Downtown Pittsburgh law firm is in need of a Part-Time Legal Secretary to support attorney in a general law practice. The ideal candidate will assist with administrative and clerical tasks, maintain organization of legal files, and ensure efficient day-to-day office operations.

Duties to include:

  • Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports
  • Maintain and organize client files (paper and digital)
  • Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling meetings, hearings, and deadlines
  • Answer phones, take messages, and handle general inquiries
  • Assist with billing, time entry, and invoicing as needed
  • Perform data entry and maintain case management systems
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive legal information

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a legal secretary, administrative assistant, or similar role preferred
  • Familiarity with general law practice
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office  
  • Experience with legal software or case management systems is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
