Downtown Pittsburgh law firm in need of candidate to provide administrative support to attorneys primarily focusing on litigation cases. The selected candidate will assist with case management, document preparation, and maintaining communication with clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys in all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial activities.
  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence.
  • Organize and manage case files, both electronic and physical, ensuring all necessary documents are accessible and up-to-date.
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and client meetings.
  • Assist with the preparation and management of exhibits and evidence for trial.
  • Communicate with clients, court clerks, opposing counsel, and other parties as needed.
  • Maintain litigation calendars and deadlines to ensure timely filing of documents.
  • Use litigation support software and databases for document management and e-discovery processes.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a legal assistant with specific exposure to litigation support.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, court rules, and procedures related to litigation.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and litigation support software (e.g., Relativity, Concordance, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a legal team.
  • Associate degree or certification in paralegal studies or legal assistance is a plus.
