Downtown Pittsburgh financial services group is in need of an Insurance Operations Specialist.
Duties to include:
- Track and manage life insurance applications and in-force policies throughout the underwriting and issuance process
- Monitor pending cases and follow up with agents, carriers, underwriters, and clients to obtain outstanding requirements
- Review applications, medical records, APS requests, financial documents, and underwriting requirements for completeness and accuracy
- Support underwriting teams by preparing case summaries and coordinating documentation
- Process policy changes, beneficiary updates, ownership changes, reinstatements, premium updates, and other service requests
- Maintain accurate records in policy administration and CRM systems
- Communicate policy status updates to advisors, clients, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, carrier guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Assist with policy delivery, placement follow-up, and post-issue service activities
- Resolve service issues and escalate complex cases when necessary
- Generate reports related to pending business, placement ratios, underwriting status, and policy service metrics
- Support audits and quality control reviews as needed
