Pittsburgh based financial services group is in need of a Procurement Associate. The selected candidate will provide primary support to the Procurement Manager and the company-wide procurement process of products and services while managing vendor performance and related risks.

Duties to include:

  • Support company-wide procurement processes and monitor deliverable due dates.
  • Assist in the centralization of processes and the development of vendor first line function and ongoing improvements to processes.
  • Supports the vendor search process while considering supplier diversity; aggregates data and conducts analysis related to RFQ activities.
  • Supports the contract administration processes by understanding and guiding contract and vendor managers through the vendor management process, maintaining data relating to qualifying vendors, understanding and supporting the RFP/RFQ process, and ensuring all relevant systems are updated and all data is accurate.
  • Performs all required vendor background check process
  • Responsible for monitoring of critical contract renewal dates and all follow-up with the vendor owners.
  • Supports the annual review of vendors and updates vendor status in all related systems
  • Aggregates and review reports regarding internal service level agreements and may make recommendations to address any performance concerns.
  • Updates policies and procedures ensuring they remain current and accurate
  • Supports department with communication strategy, presentation preparation, etc.
  • Executes key components of the Procurement/vendor change management process
  • Support and execute key facilities and administration duties

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a focus in business, finance, or information technology
  • 2+ years experience within financial services or vendor management/procurement experience
  • Tableau experience preferred
  • Prior project or change management experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong customer service orientation
  • Advanced analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently
  • Proficient MSOffice skills with ability to learn new systems as needed
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact successfully with all levels
