Pittsburgh (Coraopolis) area company is in need of a Payroll / H.R. Assistant.
Duties to include:
· Assist in processing payroll weekly for all company employees and 1099 Independent Contractors
· Collect and summarize various forms of pay information
· Continuously evaluate processes for improvement opportunities
· Assist with developing processes and reporting functions to review and control costs
· Conduct periodic research to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws relevant to the payroll and HR process
· Process garnishment requests
· Calculate deducted benefit premium withholdings
· Communicate and address tax adjustments or discrepancies to payroll vendor
· Ensure that all local/county/state tax forms are collected and stored in employee’s file folders
· Process all payroll adjustments within a timely manner and ensure accuracy of employee payroll records
· Create supplemental pay checks when necessary and reconcile the voucher account
· Analyze reports generated prior to and after the pay-run and make corrections to ensure all Payroll, HR and Wellness Program issues are handled
· Work closely with all areas of HR and Accounting departments to ensure accuracy and full completion of issues
· Assist with administration of leave of absence and company Wellness program.
· Ensure all employment verifications are performed in a timely manner
· Report generation and analysis for Payroll, HR and Accounting related topics
Requirements:
· Previous like payroll support experience
· Strict adherence to confidentiality guidelines
· Ability to organize and prioritize workload, while meeting strict deadlines
· Proficiency and accuracy with numbers
· Professional verbal and written communication skills
· Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and self-directed.
· Proficient MSOffice skills (Word, Excel and Outlook
· Strong computer skills
· Bachelors degree is preferred
