CAD Designer ($50,000-55,000 per year)

Pittsburgh area manufacturing firm is in need of an experienced CAD Designer.

Duties to include:

·         Producing rough sketches and using CAD software to prepare detailed 2D/3D- drawings

·         Create drawings for new parts – primarily 3D

·         Perform and validate changes to existing drawings depending on customer specifications

·         Updating drawings, and other documents related to design of products

·         Welcome feedback that is given and implementing any changes to drafts/drawings as soon as possible

·         Ensuring drawings are compliant with local regulations and engineering rules/principles

·         Communicating actively potential design issues to sales and production department

·         Conducting research when required

Requirements:

·         Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.

·         Proficiency in design software, including CAD tools, but also simulation and analysis software.

·         Problem-solving skills and creativity to develop innovative solutions.

·         Strong communication skills and attention to detail

·         Superb work ethic and ability to accept feedback

·         Team player

·         Willingness to work overtime when required

·         Hold a degree in engineering (mechanical, civil, electrical, etc.) or a related field beneficiary.
