Pittsburgh area communications firm in need of an experienced Accounting Assistant.

Responsibilities to include:

•        Record job costed accounting transactions and record maintenance

•        Assist accounting team with data entry and invoice organization

•        Works closely with the media department to review budgets and reconciliations

•        Reconcile and record accounting transactions

•       Assists with reconciling vendor invoice discrepancies

•        Prepare client billing and record cash receipts

•       Match vendor invoices to purchase and insertion orders, code for job costing and enter for processing.

•        Prepare vendor payments for mailing and file documents.

•        Examine aging reports for accuracy

•        Reconcile and code corporate credit card activity to appropriate general ledger accounts

•        Record client cash receipts and send monthly statements

•        Analyze media budgets for accuracy

•        Create campaign reconciliations

•        Maintain vendor records and assist with 1099 preparation/mailing

•       Assist with incoming phone calls/miscellaneous office duties


•        Previous like experience with strong understanding of accounting concepts

•        Strong attention to detail

•        Professional verbal and written communication skills    

•        Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects is crucial

•        Must possess above-average organizational and time management skills

•       Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

•        Team player willing to assist where needed
