Pittsburgh area university needs an experienced candidate to fill the role of Assistant Registrar.

Responsibilities to include:

·        Ensure the accuracy of official student academic records by assisting with final grades processing, incomplete grade conversions, grade changes and other needed updates.

·        Builds course schedule and corresponds with degree builders to aid schedule development and production.

·        Assign and adjust course classroom reservations and classroom event requests via classroom scheduling software.  

·        Manage the automated degree progress audit process which includes processing degree conferral applications, entering and updating program audits, and validating degree completion.

·        Update student status changes (withdrawal, leave of absence, and dismissals) and report the changes  

·        Processes various registration forms and stores the supporting documentation in the appropriate format.

·        Serves as the point of contact manager for work study students.

·        Corresponds with academic affairs personnel in an effort to resolve degree conferral issues.

·        Coordinates, develops, and conducts professional development training sessions for staff. 

·        Other duties may be assigned within the scope of departmental responsibility by the University Registrar.

Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree or better and 3+ years related experience in higher education

·        Proficient MSOffice skills and knowledge of automated student record systems

·        Ability to process information in a logical and orderly fashion

·        Strong organizational and multitasking skills to effectively organize records and resources

·        Ability to maintain confidentiality of student academic records

·        Professional verbal and written communication skills
