Pittsburgh area organization is in need of an experienced candidate to assist Controller. The selected candidate will work closely with the Controller and will have full responsibility for financial management and reporting, cash flow management, preparing reports for various Trustee Boards, reviewing internal controls and any other accounting/auditing aspect for the Organization.

Essential duties to include:

· Ensures that all accounting records are complete, accurate and well organized, and updated in a timely manner.

· Reviews the reliability and integrity of financial information and the means used to identify, measure, classify and report such information and makes recommendations as to possible improvements in this area.

· Advises Administrator Manager regarding fiscal matters.

· Ensures that funds are available so that disbursements can be made as scheduled.

· Ensures that cash and investment accounts are efficiently managed.

· Reviews and approves invoices for payment prior to submission to Administrator.

· Prepares staff payroll.

· Files all required federal, state or local tax returns.

· Reconciles bank accounts.

· Assists independent auditors.

· Reconciles internally produced documents to accounting records.

· May provide training in area of responsibility to other staff members.

· May be cross-trained in areas outside of primary responsibility area.

· Performs such other related tasks and duties that are assigned or required.

Requirements:

· Minimum of five year progressive accounting experience required.
