Pittsburgh area CPA firm is in need of an experienced Administrative Assistant.

Duties to include:

  • Answering the telephone in a professional manner, taking messages, and/or directing callers to the appropriate associate or department
  • Contributing to the accounting and other teams as needed by performing administrative tasks, filing, and other clerical work
  • Preparing documents, letters, presentations, and other communication materials for internal distribution, types and spell-checks documents, creates graphs and other displays
  • Prepares, checks and processes expense reports/client documents
  • Managing all incoming and outgoing mail including UPS, FedEx, and DHL domestic and international shipping needs for the office
  • Performing administrative functions such as ordering department supplies, arranging for equipment repairs, servicing equipment, including seeking proper authorization for items requiring prior approval
  • Takes and prepares notes of meetings, conferences, and similar proceedings

Requirements:

  • Efficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Any knowledge of other accounting, tax, or other software would be a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be dependable, able to work independently, and stay on task
  • Outgoing personality, strong teamwork skills, and a professional attitude
  • A willingness to learn and grow within the role
  • Previous like experience within an accounting firm environment is strongly preferred
