Downtown Pittsburgh professional services firm is in need of an experienced Financial Controller/Business Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible to lead the company’s accounting, finance, and office functions.
Responsibilities:
· Manage accounting functions
· Prepare monthly/yearly close and present financial analysis to the management team
· Prepare financial data for 3rd party accountant processing
· Cost accounting
· Budgeting and forecasting
· Setting up new projects for accounting and production purposes
· Work with PMs for timely invoicing to clients
· Account receivables/payables
· Cash management
· Work with the foreign affiliate to ensure cohesive and seamless operations
· Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to enable continual improvements in the efficiency of the organization
· Assist with annual benefits renewal and 401(k) decisions
· General Human resource functions
· Participate in special projects
· Other duties as necessary
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or finance, CMA or CPA desired but not required.
· Minimum of 5 years accounting experience
· Minimum of 5 years management experience
· Strong working knowledge of complete accounting cycle
· Strong Excel experience
· Flexibility and ability to prioritize
· Experience with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint software is highly desired
· Able to multi-task in a self-directed environment
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Organized, detail-oriented and follows-through
· Willing to take on any task where needed
