Pittsburgh based design group is in need of an experienced Bookkeeper. The selected candidate will be an integral part of managing the daily financials of the firm.
Duties to include:
· Enter all cash receipts into general ledger, prep bank deposits
· Enter A/P invoices into G/L, review vendor statements and handle discrepancies, prepare and submit reports to accountants
· Review and enter contracts, prepare invoices as required, ensure timely payment of A/R
· Review data and prepare adjusting journal entries for month-end closings, reconcile and propose necessary entries
· Assist with year-end close, assist in preparing audit requirements for outside accounting, manage 401k reconciliation
· Prepare financial reports as requested
· Ensure accurate transmittal of monthly payroll to outside payroll service
· Ensure accurate transmittal of monthly 401k and monthly benefit premiums
· Perform other general office manager work as required
Requirements:
· Associates or Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
· 5+ years of bookkeeping experience
· Proficient fund accounting and MSOffice software
· Experience with Ajera/Deltek a plus
· Professional verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skill
