Downtown Pittsburgh corporation is in need of a Conference/Event Planner.

Duties to include:

·         Coordinate and implement various components of conferences and events to include transportation lodging, food/beverage, audio visual, activities and entertainment  within established budget guidelines.

·         Establish conference objectives by meeting with appropriate individuals.

·         Compose and prepare related conference correspondence to include invitations and registration sites.

·         Negotiate conference expenses as outlined in department policies.

·         Provide vendor recommendations based upon research and negotiations.

·         Prepare, reconcile and process invoices, client reimbursements and expense reports.

·         Prepare, process and monitor budget related to conference.

·         Manage and audit conference details through department site.

Requirements: 

·         Effective interpersonal and communication skills

·         Experienced with coordinating various types of meetings and events

·         Ability to problem solve, make decisions and analytical skills

·         Excellent customer service skills
