Downtown Pittsburgh law firm is in need of a Legal Document Specialist. The selected candidate will prepare, revise, and format various legal documents, along with various other tasks.
Duties to include:
- Typing/transcription of correspondence, pleadings and other audio recordings.
- Formatting and revising documents.
- Perform document conversions of any type (PDF-to-Word conversions)
- Creation, formatting and revision of Excel spreadsheets.
- Perform e-filing in various jurisdictions.
- Profile large document productions from email or ShareFile.
- Proofreading (format, punctuation, grammar and consistency).
- Preparation of templates (Word tables and fillable PDFs)
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or some college preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience required in a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or legal document production role, preferably in a litigation defense environment.
- Strong technical skills to include proficient MSOffice applications
- Fast and accurate typing skills required.
- Strong multitasking and attention to detail skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
